Kakamega Forest:

The Kakamega Forest is located 380 kms away from Nairobi in the western province of Kenya. The forest is considered to be the easternmost remnant of the low land Congolean rainforest in central Africa. It is the only example of a mid-altitude rain-forest in Kenya.

The Kakamega Forest contains specimen of both the Low land and highland species.
